 News Release

 On May 2^nd a group of 12 young students met for the fourth time and formed a conference to be called:

“The Mississauga North Youth Vincentian Conference”

The 12 members in attendance heard short speeches from four nominees for president. An election took place and the President of this newly formed youth conference is a grade 9 student from Our Lady of Mount Caramel.

 The group split it two and spent some time deciding:

1.)    What were good ways to raise money

2.)    What were good projects to undertake

While this was taking place the new President picked her new executive which are from:

Vice President,  from Saint Teresa of Avalia

Secretary,  from Saint Teresa of Avalia

Treasurer,  from Saint Teresa of Avalia 

The group decided to hold their next meeting on June 17^th at 6:00 PM at St. John of the Cross Church.

 The following schools are represented in this conference:

·        Our Lady of Mount Carmel

·        Saint Teresa of The Child Jesus

·        Saint Albert of Jeruslem

·        Saint Teresa of Avalia

·        Saint John of The Cross

·        Saint Richards

·        York University

 Wards 9&10 School Board Trustee Ester O’Toole was in attendance and her support and that of the board, is certainly appreciated.
