Retreat: “Vincentian Spirituality” –
February 17, 2007
On February 17th, 90
Vincentians came together at St. Joseph’s Morrow Park to share
their faith, themselves, and their experiences. Planned by
the Spirituality Committee and led by Rev. Michael Doyle, of
the Spiritan Fathers, the day was an opportunity for the
Vincentians to reflect on their calling to serve the poor and
to be reminded, by Fr. Doyle and each other, that the call to
serve the poor was Christ’s most important and frequent
message to His followers. In spite of set backs,
frustrations, discouragements, and challenges, we must never
lose sight of the fact showing love, respect, compassion and
dignity to those in need is at the heart of what it means to
be a Christian and, especially, to be a Vincentian.
The day included lunch and ended with a
Eucharistic Celebration in the beautiful chapel.
The Spirituality Committee is anxious to
hear how you feel they can best serve the spiritual needs of
our members.
