Orientation Session - St. Margaret of Scotland
Church, March 8and St. Thomas More, March 20, 2007
113 new Vincentians from all parts of the GTA came
together for their Orientation session (a requirement of
membership for all new members) on March 8 in the west end
and March 20 in the east end. A team of Vincentians and
staff members provided the new members with some information
about some of the key figures in the Society's founding and
long, proud history. The presentations also gave
participants a familiarity with all of our 22 Special Works
programs and the structure of the Society.
This orientation session is designed to complement the
hands-on training new members receive at their conference,
giving them a good sense of the breadth and depth of the
works of the Society. The session also included a
presentation on the spirit of the Rule, the document that
guides and inspires our Vincentian work.
